Port Said - Cairo - Alexandria

Day One:
In the early morning your luxury cruise ship docks in Port Said Harbor.
As you disembark the ship you will be met by our Tour Host, who will handle all operational details. Leave Port Said by deluxe van, driving southwest to Cairo through the fascinating Eastern Desert of Egypt.
Your Private Egyptologist-Guide will give you during your journey an introduction to Egypt both ancient and modern.
As we arrive to Cairo we will drive through the bustling streets of the city - seeing many interesting sights of modern Egyptian life! - into downtown Cairo and the splendid Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where you will tour all the highlights of its brilliant collection, including stunning statues from the temples of the Giza Pyramids - and the golden Treasures of the boy-pharaoh Tutankhamun!
Following the tour, an included lunch will be served in 5 star restaurant.
Continue to Giza, on the opposite bank of the Nile from Cairo, to the pyramid plateau itself, where by coach and by foot you will tour all the highlights of these astounding monuments, - viewing all three major structures - the Pyramids of Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, - the Subsidiary Pyramids of queens and princesses of each pharaoh, - the ruins of the Mortuary Temples and giant Causeways of their pyramid complexes, the amazing Valley Temple of Chephren, and the Great Sphinx hewn from the limestone plateau.
During the afternoon, a drive will be made to the high desert plateau beyond the monuments for a magnificent panoramic view of all the Pyramids spread out below! And you will enjoy a fun camel ride through the sands surrounding these remarkable structures!
Then it is time to check-in at Hotel in Cairo/Giza for our one night's stay.
Just before sun-set, you will leave the hotel to attend the spectacular new production of Sound & Light at Giza.
Enjoy dinner at our hotel this evening.
Overnight Cairo.

Day Two:
This morning it's a sumptuous Buffet Breakfast at our hotel.
Baggage collection from outside room doors. Continue en route motoring through the amazing streets of the city, and returning via the desert road to Alexandria.
arriving at the ship's dock before Noon, in plenty of time before re-embarkation on your luxury cruise ship sailing from Egypt.

Day Tour to Sakkara, Dahshure
& Memphis from Alexandria

Day Tour to Sakkara, Dahshure & Memphis from Alexandria Port Our Representative will pick you up from Alexandria Port by the cruise exit door.

After that you will be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo, approximately 2 ½ hours.

Head to visit Memphis, the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it is considered to be a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years and had great architectural achievements and it is believed that Memphis was the largest city in the world from its foundation until around 2250 BC.

Have lunch at a local restaurant.
Then pay a visit to Dahshure, located to the Southwest of Memphis at some 10 kilometers to the South of Sakkara to see the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid which has never been completed. Archaeological research has shown it to date to the 4th Dynasty as well, but it is not clear for whom it was built.

Transfer back to Alexandria to join your Cruise.

Over Day to El Alamein

Pick up from your Ship Upon arrival at the port by our representative who will help you through your immigration and customs formalities then escort you to your private guide (Egyptologist) and A/C coach.

Drive along the Mediterranean Sea 110 km from the city of Alexandria considered as one of the most beautiful areas along the Egyptian coasts to reach the small village of El Alamein (meaning the two worlds in Arabic).

In 1942 the Allied forces under the command of British General Montgomery put a halt to the advance of Nazi Africa Corps who considered El Alamein the gateway to Alexandria and the key to the control of the African continent.

The Battle of El Alamein was one of the most violent as well as most important confrontations during 2nd World War.

The first stop will be the Military Museum containing displays of weapons, military garb and tanks.

Descriptions of the actions of Montgomery, Rommel and the others participating in the battle are also on display.

Continue to visit the burial site visiting a small peninsula overlooking the sea, the citadel-like Cemeteries is the final resting place for Commonwealth, Greek, Italian and German soldiers. After enjoying the historical feeling we will stop for lunch before our drive back to the harbor in Alexandria.
